Standards
Credibility is a method, not a claim
A community archive is only useful if a historian, journalist or researcher can trust it. These are the rules this platform holds itself to.
- 01
Accuracy
Historical and biographical claims are supported by credible sources wherever possible. Where a source is weak, that is stated.
- 02
Attribution
The source of historical information, photographs and quotations is identified. Photographers and contributors are credited.
- 03
Distinction between history and tradition
Oral histories, community traditions and scholarly historical accounts are labelled distinctly and never merged into a single confident narrative.
- 04
No fabricated achievements
No person is listed as a notable contributor without credible supporting information. Titles, awards and positions are recorded only where verifiable.
- 05
Corrections
Any reader may submit a correction. Corrections are reviewed, and published records are amended with a note where material facts change.
- 06
Neutrality
This platform documents one community without disparaging any other. It is not a political platform.
- 07
Privacy
Sensitive personal information is not published. Submissions involving living people require permission.
